Criteria for drawing up the list of the best hotels in São Miguel, Azores
To compile this list of the best rural hotels in São Miguel, I researched hotels from one end of the island to the other. From Ponta Delgada to Nordeste, from Mosteiros to Vila Franca do Campo.
The data in the list below (in brackets) indicates the overall rating given by guests who have stayed at each hotel. The rating ranges from 0-10, with 10 being the maximum rating. Guests' evaluations take into account value for money, friendliness and availability of staff, location, comfort and cleanliness.
To make the list even more reliable - I've considered all types of accommodation: hotels, local accommodation, flats, guesthouses, hostels and others - as long as they have received a minimum of 100 reviews on the booking centre's website.
