How many times before planning a trip have you researched the main tourist attractions in the country you want to visit? The British voucher website Vouchercloud has designed a map showing the most popular tourist attractions in each country, based on information collected by TripAdvisor.
There are more or less obvious sites in each country, such as the Sagrada Familia in Spain or Machu Picchu in Peru. But who would have thought that the most popular destination in Portugal, according to TripAdvisor, is Quinta da Regaleira?
Some doubts may be raised about the kings of popularity, as in the case of the United Kingdom, where the highlight is the Harry Potter Studio Tour, or in the case of Zimbabwe, where the big attraction is the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and not the majestic Victoria Falls.
However, some of the world's unmissable destinations are present, such as the Great Wall of China, Niagara Falls or the Colosseum in Rome.
TripAdvisor has identified the attractions and broken them down by sector. Of the 197 countries observed, there are:

- 54 historical attractions
- 38 general tourist attractions
- 29 religious attractions
As well as maps, Vouchercloud has also created a document where you can see the most popular destination in each country. The document is allegedly updated every five minutes.
