22 photographs of Wales that inspire a legendary journey

Photography Inspiration Travelling Europe Wales
Jorge Duarte Estevão

When you see the photos of Wales, you'll realise why I've enjoyed being there so much (several times). In my opinion, Wales is the second most beautiful of the four that make up the United Kingdom - only behind Scotland.

From the mountains of Snowdonia and the country's highest peak (Snowdon), to the exceptional coastal beauty of Pembrokeshire, never forgetting the Brecon Beacons National Park, photographs of Wales tell many stories.

These images serve as inspiration for a journey through this beautiful, often forgotten country. When you think of the United Kingdom, Scotland comes to mind, of course, England (to go to London) and Northern Ireland.

Wales is overlooked on Europe's main travel routes, but this is a mistake that many people are correcting. I've corrected it several times...If you do a road-trip in Wales, you'll find many surprises. There are roads, paths, islands, castles and the most beautiful beaches in the UK - some even look like tropical destinations.
