This week sees the official launch of the book #Eu fico em Portugal, with 25 chronicles about various regions of the country. In the year in which the pandemic invited many people to rediscover Portugal, 25 bloggers decided to put together in a single document a collection of stories, accounts and experiences lived on Portuguese soil.
From Sintra to Montalegre, from Gerês to the Costa Vicentina, from Madeira to the Azores, from the Alentejo to the Douro. Through villages, towns, landscapes and nature reserves, 25 bloggers reveal some of the country's secrets. These are travel chronicles, described in the first person, where they tell us what they see, feel, live, breathe and savour.
My chronicle tells of a fascinating place and depressing, dazzling and dramatic, rich and poor, incredible and ruinous, varied and polluted, the scenery is also unique, exemplary and enigmatic. It is, at the same time, a look at three dimensions: past, present and future.

I see women, men and children in their Sunday suits, children happily spending hours in their traditional robes after prayers. Maybe that's how it was 100 years ago in this village (...)"
