Why we should work together

Lugares Incertos is a personal project by journalist and photographer Jorge Duarte Estevão. The blog was launched in 2018, but it is already a reference for blogs written in the Portuguese language and stands out for the quality of the published content, particularly the articles produced and photographs taken.

With over a decade of professional experience in photography and journalism, I only produce quality content. The stories and photographs from several of the 60 countries I've visited have already been published in various national and international media.

To ensure the maximum satisfaction of all parties, I only agree to work with brands that fit the blog's profile and I do not permit third-party interference in the content. Independence, rigor, and a commitment to impartiality are paramount. The blog is a member of the ABVP – Portuguese Travel Bloggers Association.

Individual / personalised campaigns 

According to my personal experience, individual or personalized campaigns are the best ways to reach readers. The experience provided is reflected in the content, therefore a personalized campaign has much more added value than, for example, a Press-trip or FAM Trip.

A personalized campaign allows for the creation and dissemination of authentic content. This allows the content to be adjusted to the target audience of the blog and the partnership. Unlike Press-trips, these campaigns are not pre-formatted, which allows for an exponential increase in ROI (Return on Investment).

The campaign can be publicised in real time (terms to be agreed) on social networks, in addition to the publication of original articles and photographs - at a later date.

Long-term trips, like the one I took by train between Portugal and Macau, are an excellent way to continuously promote a destination.

I have several ideas for long-term trips, but if you have a proposal to promote your brand or destination, do not hesitate to contact me. You can, for example, sponsor one of these adventures. Projects involving sustainable tourism are particularly appealing to me.

Content production

The travel articles I publish are verified before being published, are complete and impartial, in addition to being written based on all the best practices of SEO (so that they reach thousands of readers).

In addition to original texts and photographs that I publish on the blog, I also produce articles for magazines and brands. If you are responsible for a periodic travel, tourism, or photography publication, contact me to contribute with exclusive professional articles.

Photography

I am completely passionate about photography and I have been photographing professionally for over a decade. Several brands and publications have already acquired my images for the promotion of destinations in brochures, campaigns, on social media, and online — including aerial images with a drone.

For several years I have been traveling and photographing professionally and some of the images have been published in leading media outlets such as The Guardian or Lonely Planet travel guides.

My photographs are part of the collection of several leading photographic agencies such as Getty Images and Alamy. I am available for photographic projects of commercial and humanitarian interest.

Many of the images I capture — as a professional photographer — are available for purchase and can be used in marketing campaigns or on social media. Conferences and/or travelling events

I have already participated in lectures and I am open to invitations. If you are organizing an event about travel, tourism, or photography, please send me your proposal to participate in a conference, lecture, or workshop.

This participation requires coverage of travel and accommodation costs, as well as compensation for attending the event.

Dynamising social networks and SEO

The Lugares Incertos blog doesn’t have millions of followers on social media, but the thousands who follow the posts are quite active. Send me your idea for a partnership to promote a destination through social media (Facebook and Instagram).

Another way to reach readers is through long-term strategies that allow your brand or destination to be exposed over an extended period, maximizing the return on marketing campaigns.

Many pages of Lugares Incertos rank at the top of search engine results due to excellent content optimization in terms of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). And these partnerships — which extend over time — are my favorites (and the most effective).

Sponsored articles /posts

On the blog, there is space for the publication of sponsored articles about products or services, provided that certain prerequisites are met.

• No interference in the content is accepted.
• The product or service has to be tested or trialled beforehand
• Payment is made before the item is produced
• Any sponsored article will be indicated as such to readers
• The links in the sponsored articles are nofollow

Publicity

There are appropriate spaces on this site for travel-related advertising. If you find the content of this blog interesting and valuable, choose the dimensions and duration of the campaign or send me an email at [email protected] with your proposal.

Brand ambassador

If you want to associate your brand with another highly reputable brand, choose the Lugares Incertos blog. I can promote your brand and use your product or merchandise during my travels. By considering me as an ambassador for your brand or destination, you will gain exposure on social media and the blog.

I am also available to participate in photographic campaigns and test digital equipment (cameras, lenses, smartphones, computers) during a trip.

Humanitarian and/or solidarity projects

Last but not least: I have great interest (and pleasure) in participating in humanitarian and/or charitable projects. If you believe I can help your cause through my professional experience (photography and writing) to promote a fair, honest, and proper campaign, I will be the first to respond positively.

Together, we can contribute to reducing human injustice or environmental damage - just to name two examples.

I am quite flexible, but there are rules I do not compromise on:

• I don't take part in link schemes
• I don't publish infographics
• I don't accept articles written by third parties
• Any service can only be hired for a fee. Time is precious to everyone and no one deserves to work without being compensated. The only exception is humanitarian / solidarity projects
• I do not work for "résumé" purposes. Do not contact me to provide photographs or texts in exchange for "credit" or "attribution."
• I do not do product or service reviews without financial compensation.
